The pet loss comfort box was created to acknowledge the grief and loss children and youth might be feeling after a beloved pet dies.
Included in the box is a memory box collage kit to create a special place to keep memories and mementos, such as photos, written memories, a collar, or favourite pet toy. The box can be painted and collaged, and the kit includes the supplies for making a photo transfer onto the wood. A blue obsidian puffy heart stone can be placed at the burial site, in a garden, or kept with a child to feel connected to the memory of the pet that has died. Lastly, four heart-shaped wildflower seed papers are for planting a memorial garden. A message can be written on the seed paper before planting.
This gift can be combined with any of our individual gift items such as books, sensory comfort items, and therapeutic art activities.
